This policy describes the personal information BellyChic may collect through this website and store, why it is used, and the choices available to you.

1. Who this policy covers

“You” means a person who visits the site, contacts us, creates an account, signs up for an offer, or places an order.

2. Information we collect

• Order and account details: name, billing and delivery address, email, phone number, items and sizes ordered, and order history.
• Messages: details you choose to include in a customer-service enquiry or product question.
• Offer sign-up: your email address if you submit it to request the welcome offer.
• Basic technical and store information: IP address, browser or device details, pages viewed, and information needed to keep the site, basket and checkout working. WordPress and WooCommerce may use session and cart cookies.
• Payment status: payment method and transaction status returned by the payment provider. Full card details are handled by the payment provider and are not intended to be stored by BellyChic.

3. How we use information

We use information to operate the shop; take and fulfil orders; arrange delivery, returns and customer support; maintain accounts and baskets; prevent fraud and protect the site; meet accounting or other legal duties; and, when you choose to sign up, provide the requested offer or marketing messages. We do not describe an optional marketing use as required to buy a product.

4. Service providers and sharing

Information may be made available only as needed to providers that help run the store, namely: website hosting (o2switch, France); payment processing (Stripe, and PayPal if offered at checkout); delivery carriers and our fulfilment partner; and, only if you accept them in the cookie banner, Google (Analytics and Ads), Meta (Facebook and Instagram), TikTok and Pinterest for measuring our adverts. We may also disclose information when required by law or needed to protect the store, customers or legal rights.

5. Cookies and similar technologies

Essential cookies and local storage may keep the basket, session, security settings and your offer-popup choice working. Analytics and advertising tags (Google, Meta, TikTok, Pinterest) load only after you accept them in the cookie banner, and you can change your choice at any time with the “Manage consent” tab. 6. Retention

We keep information for the time needed to fulfil the purposes above, handle customer-service issues and meet record-keeping obligations. Order and invoice records are kept for 10 years, as required for accounting; customer-service messages for 3 years after our last exchange; welcome-offer sign-ups until you unsubscribe or 3 years without contact; technical logs for up to 12 months.

7. Security and transfers

We use reasonable measures intended to protect information, but no website or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure. The site is hosted by o2switch in France; depending on where the operator, customer and service providers are located, information may be processed across borders. Where a provider processes data outside the UK or the European Economic Area (for example in the United States), the transfer relies on recognised safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or the UK–US data bridge.

8. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction or deletion of certain information, to object to or limit certain uses, to withdraw consent, or to receive a portable copy. To make a request, use our contact form or write to contact@bellychic.com. We may need to verify your identity and will respond as required by applicable law. You can opt out of marketing emails using the unsubscribe link where provided.

9. Children

This store is intended for adults making their own purchases. We do not knowingly request personal information directly from children under 13. A parent or guardian who believes a child has sent us information can contact us to request its deletion.
